I don’t even know how to start this review. I loved the book. This was one of the best, not to mention most powerful, books I’ve ever read. It started out a little slow and it took a few pages for me to really become interested. But, when I did, I was entranced. Lockhart uses fragmented sentences often and it can be frustrating to read at times, but she manages to pull you in with Cadence’s story and make you feel as if you were one of the Liars. Lockhart’s writing and the ending to We Were Liars reminds me a lot of John Green’s. This book was tragic. It was beautiful.  It was so unpredictable and I was completely taken by surprise at the ending.
