The Gladers

The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Rating: 5 stars
More Info
This book came highly recommended to me as a huge Hunger Games fan. I’ve been so busy lately and I had so many other books on my list to read that this one kind of got pushed back a few weeks. But, I finally got around to reading it and…whoa. It definitely has some similarities to the Hunger Games, but it has a completely different story line and the terminology is especially different. Once I really got into the story, I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up late reading and had several “book hangovers” (which, if you don’t know, is the headache you get after staying up staring at a book all night). Dashner creates a unique world for his characters and makes sure there is no shortage of conflict for them. The Maze Runner keeps you intrigued throughout the entire book and then the ends leaves you sitting there confused and hopelessly wishing for book teleportation so you can read the second one. I would recommend this book to anyone, not just Hunger Games fans.
