                If any of you have read the Vampire Academy series then you’ll know that Bloodlines is written by the same author. I read all of the VA books a few years ago and I’ve known about Bloodlines for a while, but I never got around to reading them. Since, VA is one of my favorite series of all time, I decided to go ahead and read the spin-off. If you’re familiar with the storyline then you’ll be happy to know that Sydney Sage’s story does have a few mentions of Rose, Dimitri, and Lissa (though not very many) as well as plenty of Adrian Ivashkov (I don’t know about you, but I always loved him). I’ve been a fan of Mead’s writing since her very first book and I was really excited to start this series. I won’t give too much away, but fans won’t be disappointed with this. In fact, if I were you, I’d just go ahead and buy all of the books now. I made the mistake of only buying the first book to start out (I should’ve known I’d love it), so now I’m sitting at home anxiously waiting for Amazon to deliver the rest of the series. Trust me, get them all. Happy reading! J
