Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I know it’s completely cliché, but I just cannot begin to find the words to describe this book. In simplest terms, I loved it. I’m a sucker for a good adventure with a little romance thrown in and Riggs didn’t fail me. I’ll admit that I thought it had a slow start and it sat on my shelf for a while before I finally managed to get more than 20 pages in. The creativity and imagery in this book is so amazing that I found myself getting antsy to read about the next supernatural element Riggs would come up with. I go through phases with paranormal/ fantasy stories where I love it for a few months and then I hate it for a few months. The past few months have been a part of the latter and this book has brought on another phase of loving fantasy novels. I’ve already ordered the next book in the series and I’ve started scoping out other similar books to fix my fantasy craving.
