***This is a Blogging for Books review***
City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
Rating: 3 stars
I had a really difficult time getting into this book. The start was slow moving and confusing. This review will be short because I personally did not care for the book, but any rating below three stars would be wrong because I was completely captivated by Bennett's magnificent world-building. The Continent, Saypur, and Bulikov are the results of a wonderful imagination that cannot be overlooked. The reviews I read for this book had me excited to read it, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. This was one of those books where I can't even pinpoint why I didn't enjoy it, I only know that I was counting down the pages to the end.
